Cloud Security Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage security systems, including firewalls, antivirus applications, and IDS/IPS.
• Assist in the detection and management of security incidents.
• Coordinate with technology vendors for escalation issues.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and manage patch updates.
• Support security audits and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
• Work alongside IT teams to implement and enhance security protocols.
• Document security procedures and incidents meticulously.
• Execute Proof of Concept for emerging security technologies.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 – 3 years of experience in cybersecurity support or IT security operations.
• Excellent analytical abilities and strong attention to detail.
• Capable of independently managing multiple tasks.
• Practical experience with SIEM tools, Palo Alto, and Trellix.
• Collaborative team player with a focus on customer service.
• Knowledgeable in cybersecurity areas such as Endpoint Protection, Network Security, and IAM.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP are advantageous.
