Production Manager (Perai)

Position Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to production schedules while focusing on HPU enhancement, cycle time efficiency, inventory oversight, and staff development.
• Assess resource requirements (capacity) necessary to fulfill the production plan.
• Evaluate resources against availability.
• Oversee the dispatching of work orders in line with the build strategy.
• Promote improvements in workmanship and quality standards.
• Manage and control the usage of direct materials.
• Maintain inventory levels as required and oversee employee retention and turnover.
• Organize and coordinate essential employee activities to foster teamwork and a positive work environment.
• Lead initiatives aimed at reducing costs.
• Develop departmental talent by delegating responsibilities and providing coaching.
• Inspire team members to achieve exceptional performance.
• Uphold a highly disciplined workforce.
• Achieve performance metrics such as HPU, CT, DPPM, Line Item, Volume, Cross Training, WIP Accuracy, and Attendance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Total Quality Management, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in a high-volume, high-mix production setting, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proficient in Oracle, ERP, SAP, or MRP systems.
• Background in lean manufacturing and quality improvement initiatives.
• Skilled in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
