PATTERN MAKER

The Pattern Maker will be responsible for working with pattern and core boxes, focusing on repair, batching, and mounting tasks while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities: (Detailed enumeration of specific tasks and duties)
• Creating layouts for patterns.
• Basic understanding of methoding and pattern terminology (including runner, ingate, downsprue, parting line, etc.).
• Familiarity with foundational foundry practices.
• Ability to read and interpret pattern drawings.
• Executing pattern mounting tasks.
• Knowledge of pattern repair techniques.
• Finishing patterns made of metal or wood.
• Measuring dimensions accurately using appropriate instrumentation.
• Conducting pattern inspections.
• Making and preparing Styrofoam/master patterns.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area.
• Performing any additional duties as assigned by the company.
Qualifications: (Educational background, certification or licensing standards, experience, and essential knowledge)
• Completion of a vocational program in carpentry or machinery.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a pattern shop environment.
