QCO - Quay Crane Operator

Purpose of the Job:

Responsible for the safe and efficient unloading of vessels in accordance with RSGT operating and performance standards. Accuracy is critical for operator roles—you must be able to focus and work with precision.

Qualification / Capabilities: Working Conditions:

Equipment operator in terminal berth

Skills / Attribute:

➢ Cranes speed rules.

➢ Handling container in safe manner

➢ Capable to achieve the required target

Required Experience:

Quay crane experience in terminal, minimum 4 years.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities: Description:

Area of Contribution

Equipment Operation- Arrangement

➢ Check SVD manager assigned allocation (T01 | T02).

➢ Punctual on work timing & at assigned location.

Equipment Operation- Preparations

➢ Undertake thorough checking of equipment before starting work. (Includes spreader – flipper and other switches).

➢ Check cabin cleaning and all facilities before operation.

Equipment Operation- Performance

➢ Loading and unloading containers to / from trailers.

➢ Full knowledge in handling of spreader hoisting / lowering and appropriate use of flipper guide.

➢ Ensure the correct positioning of gantry and working bays.

➢ Ensure the crane is properly secured with ground anchorage after completion of operations.

➢ Communicate with assigned Tally/Hatch men for smooth vessel operations.

➢ Work to agreed operating and performance standards.

➢ Always maintain safe working practices.

➢ Undertake other duties as needed and directed by the Team Leader.

➢ Able to operate with 35Mph for achieving target.
