Exp: 2 to 4 year experience

Qualification: B.E./B. Tech.

JD:

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Test Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in software testing, including hands-on exposure to embedded software testing. The candidate should demonstrate strong test design, test execution, and defect management capabilities, and be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience in Smart Energy Meter and/or 4G/5G Cellular Modem testing is an added advantage.

The ideal candidate should bring a strong quality mindset, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to independently drive testing activities end-to-end—from test planning through execution and defect closure.

Preferred Experience:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in Software Testing.
• Experience in functional, integration, system and regression testing.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Required Skills & Experience

1. Overall 2-4 years of experience in Software Testing, with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in Embedded Software Testing preferred.
2. Strong knowledge of test design techniques such as Boundary Value Analysis (BVA), Equivalence Partitioning, Decision Table Testing, Pairwise Testing, State Transition Testing & Use Case Testing
3. Excellent test analysis, test design, test setup preparation, and test execution skills.
4. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities.
5. Experience in validating embedded systems involving hardware-software interactions.
6. Good understanding of defect lifecycle and defect tracking tools.
7. Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks effectively with strong time management skills.
8. Self-motivated team player with a quality-focused mindset and ownership attitude.
9. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
10. Quick learner with enthusiasm to acquire new technologies and domain knowledge.

Preferred/Added Advantage

1. Experience in Smart Energy Meter testing and/or 4G/5G Cellular Modem testing.
2. Knowledge of DLMS/COSEM protocol (for Smart Meter domain).
3. Experience with test automation using Python, Shell scripting, or similar tools.

 Key Responsibilities

1. Analyze software requirements and develop comprehensive test cases.
2. Prepare, configure, and maintain test setups required for validation and test execution.
3. Execute functional, integration, system, and regression testing for embedded software products.
4. Identify, document, track, and verify defects through closure.
5. Collaborate with development and cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and timely issue resolution.
6. Participate in test planning, estimation, and execution activities while adhering to project schedules.
