Network Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and provide professional services, including the deployment, configuration, and upgrading of cybersecurity and networking solutions from our technology offerings.
• Handle network implementation responsibilities, such as configuring firewall policies, setting up VPNs, adjusting routing, managing segmentation, and integrating with clients’ current environments.
• Design and present viable technical solutions that meet customer needs, along with alternative design suggestions.
• Deliver organized product and technical training for customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Independently perform installations and configure systems/networks by utilizing product documentation and industry best practices.
• Commit to continuous learning and obtain certifications pertinent to designated cybersecurity or networking technologies.
• Develop specialized knowledge to facilitate knowledge transfer and improve customer maintenance and operational support.
• Support sales and technical teams in pre-sales efforts, feature validation, solution architecture, and proposal responses.
• Diagnose intricate network and security challenges, including routing, switching, firewall functioning, authentication processes, and protocol-level troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Nitec/Higher Nitec, Diploma, or Degree in IT, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Ideally, a minimum of 2 years' experience in IT, networking, or cybersecurity; recent graduates may qualify for Associate Engineer positions.
• Strong grasp of networking technologies, including routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, VPNs, subnetting, multicast, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, and network authentication methods.
• Proficient knowledge of cybersecurity solutions such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, SIEM, web proxies, endpoint security, IAM, PAM, virtualization, containers, and cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Effective troubleshooting abilities for both network and system-level problems.
• Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity threats, attack methodologies, and emerging trends in network security.
• Possessing certifications like CCNA/CCNP, CCSE/CCSM, CISSP, CyberArk, Trellix, ArcSight, CREST, OSCP, or cloud security certifications is advantageous.
• Must adhere to internal information security protocols.
• Exhibit a positive demeanor, professionalism, and the capability to work autonomously or collaboratively.
• Able to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
