Demonstrated experience administering AWS-managed database platforms within enterprise environments.
Administrative experience with AWS RDS for SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
Operational management of Amazon Aurora clusters, including day-to-day support and maintenance.
Ownership of database provisioning, configuration, patching, and upgrade management.
Backup and recovery responsibilities, including point-in-time recovery (PITR) and disaster recovery testing.
Experience implementing multi-AZ deployments, read replicas, and high availability configurations.
Database performance tuning, query optimization, and resource management.
Capacity planning and storage optimization.
Proficiency with CloudWatch, Performance Insights, and database monitoring solutions.
Knowledge of database encryption, IAM integration, access controls, and security best practices.
Incident management, including root cause analysis and problem management activities.
Change management, maintenance window coordination, and production release support.
Automation and scripting using Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
Ability to troubleshoot database alerts, replication issues, failovers, backup failures, and performance bottlenecks.
Strong understanding of database lifecycle management and operational governance.
