Job Summary
If you are an experienced Finance Leader, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a Group Manager to partner with our Global FP&A COE in Pune.

Group Leader – Business Unit FP&A
Job Summary
If you are an experienced Finance Leader, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a Group Manager to partner with our Global FP&A COE in Pune.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Lead a high-performing Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization of 30+ professionals (including high-performing and dynamic Team Leads), delivering strategic finance support across multiple Business Units in the MEA and Asia Pacific World Areas
- Hire, lead, and coach the team, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Establish and drive Business Unit Group-level objectives within COE
- Drive performance management, along with training & development of the team aligned to organizational goals
- Foster a culture of continuous process improvement within the group
- Conduct a comprehensive whitespace analysis of Business Unit (BU) support activities to identify any gaps, omissions, or inconsistencies in support coverage across specific BUs.
- Drive operational excellence by standardizing, automating, and continuously improving FP&A processes, building scalable capabilities to support expanding business needs across MEA and Asia Pacific World Areas.
- Lead the resolution of financial reporting and analysis escalations during month-end close, ensuring stakeholders receive accurate, timely, and decision-ready financial information while upholding the highest standards of financial integrity and control.
- Support FP&A COE standardization and automation initiatives by collaborating with the Techno Hub and Automation team, and partnering with BU analysts and BU finance leaders
- Own the planning, monitoring, and governance of the Group’s cost budgets; serve as the primary liaison for Finance Leadership on questions related to charge per head out of COE; and partner with the Accounting team to enable accurate and timely invoicing and financial processing of services out of COE for the group.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- A finance leader with a minimum of 15 years of work experience in the FP&A domain, with demonstrated expertise in business partnering and leading people
- Hands-on experience in ERP, MS Office, and reporting tools
- Strategic thinking and the ability to drive results with high collaboration standards
- Self-starter who suggests and implements process improvements
- Ability to manage stakeholders, adapt to situational changes, and manage complexities and ambiguity
- Qualified Chartered Accountant, CMA, or any other professional qualification in finance
- Proven leadership experience leading a dynamic group of professionals, including Chartered Accountants and CMAs
- Advanced understanding of Accounting Principles and US GAAP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
- System knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion Financial Management
- Power BI or related presentation tools
