Managed File Transfer Engineer

Primary Duties:

• Oversee and provide support for Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms and the associated file transfer processes
• Set up, monitor, and resolve issues related to SFTP, FTP, and file transfer workflows
• Manage encryption and authentication protocols for secure file transmission
• Track file transfer performance to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Investigate and troubleshoot file transfer failures, connectivity, and security concerns
• Collaborate with application infrastructure and business teams to facilitate the onboarding of new file transfer requirements
• Conduct Mainframe navigation and assist with file transfers between distributed systems and Mainframe environments
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, including runbooks and support procedures
• Implement automation and enhancements for file transfer processes
• Ensure adherence to security audits and regulatory compliance

Technical Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions
• Proficient in SFTP, FTP, SSH protocols, and secure file transfer technologies
• Familiarity with Mainframe navigation and file management procedures
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, firewalls, and connectivity troubleshooting
• Experience with monitoring and incident management tools
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, PowerShell, or Python is a plus
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience in production support environments
