Logistics Operations – SCM / Contract Logistics

• Direct the daily functions of the designated department to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
• Regularly assess performance metrics to meet or exceed customer KPIs and internal quality benchmarks; provide management with timely updates.
• Maintain strong communication with clients to comprehend their needs and ensure all specifications are met effectively.
• Engage in continuous improvement efforts by reviewing current practices and implementing enhancements.
• Timely prepare and submit departmental reports as required by management and clients.
• Oversee warehouse operations, encompassing inventory management, material handling, transportation, and workforce planning.
• Supervise the movement, distribution, and storage of items to facilitate seamless logistics operations.
• Manage the accuracy and timeliness of inbound and outbound shipment flows.
• Establish clear performance expectations for team members and provide ongoing training and support.
• Maintain precise records and accountability for all departmental tools and equipment.
• Ensure workspaces are organized, ergonomic, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Confirm that packed items are thoroughly inspected and collected promptly by drivers.
• Implement appropriate storage practices and uphold high housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse.
• Monitor and update inventory levels, ensuring records are accurate and current.
• Coordinate logistics workflows, including scheduling shipments and arranging deliveries.
• Conduct root cause analysis to reduce overages, shortages, and damage during shipment processing.
• Promptly and professionally investigate and resolve customer complaints.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and customers to pinpoint opportunities for process, efficiency, and cost improvements.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and sanitation protocols in the workplace.
• Generate and track Handling Line reports to aid in operational planning and decision-making.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management to support overall operations.

Requirements & Responsibilities

• Hold at least an STPM or a Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent experience.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in warehouse operations.
• Skilled in SAP, NGW systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledgeable in customs declaration processes for both inbound and outbound shipments.
• Exhibit a strong work ethic, a sense of accountability, and a commitment to operational excellence.
• Able to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining high performance standards.
• Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage with both management and operational staff.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks, working independently, and achieving goals with minimal oversight.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with excellent time management abilities.
