Legal Counsel - DCM

Kerry Consulting is collaborating closely with a prominent international bank to find a legal counsel specializing in debt capital markets to join its APAC legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for lawyers transitioning from private practice to an in-house position within a dynamic and cohesive team.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will report directly to the APAC General Counsel and be part of the global capital markets legal team. You will work closely with the Debt Capital Markets team, providing legal guidance on products such as Emerging Markets bond offerings in various currencies and High Yield Bonds across the APAC region. Your role will involve reviewing and negotiating a range of transaction documents, including engagement letters, underwriting agreements, subscription agreements, legal opinions, comfort letters, and agreements among managers.

You will also collaborate closely with external legal advisors and manage cross-border transactions to ensure compliance with the Bank's legal and regulatory standards.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should be a qualified lawyer, preferably from a commonwealth jurisdiction, the US, or the UK, with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) and a strong background in debt capital markets. A passion for managing transactions and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.
