About the Role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Software Engineering team in Singapore. In this role, you will design, develop, and provide support for complex, bespoke Java applications, including exposure to Wealth Management systems. This position is ideal for an engineer who is enthusiastic about technology, enjoys building reliable, scalable solutions, and is recognized for tackling challenging problems others find difficult.

Requirements

Technical – Must Have

•        Core Java 8+ and JUnit

•        Spring Boot and Spring core concepts

•        Strong computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design)

•        TDD, with the ability to write acceptance tests

•        Maven

•        Basic Linux shell scripting

•        Java messaging concepts (JMS, IBM MQ)

•        Relational database concepts and SQL (joins, indexes, triggers), including SQL query optimisation

•        Web services: REST and SOAP

•        Familiarity with IntelliJ, Git and SonarQube / SonarLint

Technical – Desirable

•        Ability to write and understand complex SQL queries

•        Kafka

•        React JS
