IT Security Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned IT Security Engineer to become a vital part of our team across Southeast Asia. The successful candidate will be tasked with protecting our IT infrastructure and ensuring adherence to relevant security regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and enforce security standards, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organization's IT systems and data.
• Perform comprehensive risk and vulnerability assessments to detect potential security threats and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Monitor security systems continuously, promptly respond to incidents, and conduct investigations into security breaches to determine root causes.
• Work closely with IT teams to embed security measures into system architecture, design, and deployment processes.
• Keep abreast of the latest security threats, trends, and technology advancements to proactively enhance the organization’s security defenses.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 4-5 years of professional experience in IT security or related disciplines.
• Deep understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and network security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and vulnerability scanning solutions.
• Knowledge of compliance standards including ISO 27001, GDPR, and PCI DSS.
• Proven ability to analyze security incidents and respond effectively to mitigate risks.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
