IT Business Analyst

Job Responsibilities

• Define the project scope, identifying stakeholders, decision-makers, business capabilities, entities, personnel, locations, and operational processes.
• Create a comprehensive fact base detailing which capabilities will move, stay, be shared, or require modifications across assets, contracts, licenses, systems, services, and data.
• Conduct interviews and workshops with business, technology, and external stakeholders to collect and validate requirements.
• Convert business goals and commercial responsibilities into precise functional, non-functional, security, data, service, and transition requirements.
• Coordinate inventories of applications, data, integrations, identities, infrastructure, networks, cloud services, operational technology, vendors, contracts, and licenses.
• Identify dependencies among services and components, business capabilities, ownership, criticality, and operational needs.
• Assist with option assessments by documenting the rationale, impacts, assumptions, and decisions made.
• Specify temporary service requirements, including scope, volumes, controls, service levels, dependencies, and exit criteria.
• Ensure traceability between approved requirements and the outcomes of design, migration, testing, and activation.
• Develop business scenarios and acceptance criteria, and aid in reconciliation, testing, and evidence collection.

Key Requirements

• Fluency in Japanese is essential for conducting requirements-gathering workshops, stakeholder discussions, and documentation with Japanese-speaking business and technology stakeholders.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis within intricate technology or transformation projects.
• Experience in collecting and managing requirements from senior business, technology, legal, risk, and supplier stakeholders.
• Proficient in process mapping, requirements traceability, inventory analysis, testing, and business acceptance.
• Capable of collaborating effectively with both business and technology teams and subject matter experts.
• Able to work across global time zones and assist with major rehearsal, migration, activation, and stabilization activities as necessary.
