ISDA Negotiator/Legal Counsel, 5-7 Years Experience

A prestigious firm is in search of a skilled ISDA Negotiator/Legal Counsel to enhance its team. The selected individual will serve as the primary authority on all ISDA-related matters within the firm, taking charge of overseeing, negotiating, drafting, and reviewing ISDA agreements and associated documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:

The chosen candidate will spearhead ISDA negotiations, ensuring that all documentation is precise and accurate throughout the process. They will bring their expertise in financial markets, derivatives, and regulatory frameworks, with a particular focus on power and carbon emissions trading. Acting as the main point of contact for counterparties during negotiations, the individual will also work in collaboration with internal teams to optimize processes and increase efficiency. Furthermore, they will cultivate and sustain strong relationships with external legal counsel, counterparties, and other key stakeholders to facilitate successful outcomes.

Qualifications:

The perfect candidate will possess significant experience in ISDA negotiations and documentation, complemented by a solid understanding of financial markets and legal frameworks.

A bachelor's degree in law, along with an equivalent legal qualification, is highly desirable. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in negotiating ISDA agreements and related documentation, in addition to a thorough understanding of general contract law, derivatives, and financial markets. Experience in a legal or compliance capacity within a financial institution or commodity trading firm is also preferred.
