Informatica BDM Admin

Job Overview:

• We are seeking an experienced Informatica BDM Administrator with a minimum of 9 years in the field to oversee and support Informatica Big Data Management environments.
• The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of the platform while managing both development and production workloads.

Primary Duties:

• Administering the BDM Informatica Console and Services through the Informatica Admin Console.
• Setting up and managing connections for Hive integration.
• Executing QA and production code migrations utilizing the Informatica Developer Tool.
• Diagnosing service issues, monitoring ETL jobs, and maintaining high system availability.
• Restarting Informatica services from the backend as well as the Console.
• Activating workflows and applications.
• Analyzing logs, including service logs, job logs, and DB2 space connectivity.
• Resolving job failures and addressing ad hoc requests.
• Monitoring and enhancing BDM performance.
• Configured and managed Cloudera Manager for cluster deployment, monitoring, and management.
• Overseeing cluster and job stability through Cloudera Manager.
• Conducting log analysis and troubleshooting for YARN, HDFS, HIVE, and SPARK.
• Managing high availability configurations, performing backups, decommissioning nodes, and conducting cluster health checks.
• Understanding RDBMS fundamentals, particularly MySQL.

Technical Skills Required:

• Practical experience with Informatica BDM DEI Administration.
• Deep understanding of Informatica domain architecture and service functionalities.
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies including Spark, Hive, and HDFS basics.
• Proficient in Linux and Unix administration.
• Experience in deployment, release management, and environmental support.
• Knowledgeable in ETL and data warehousing principles.
• Basic scripting capabilities in Shell and Python.
