Global Supply Chain Intern - Procurement

Position Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Procurement Analyst to enhance our procurement team and contribute to overarching project objectives through data-centric insights, process automation, and effective information management. This role will emphasize the development of interactive dashboards, the identification and execution of automation initiatives, the enhancement of procurement business processes, and the establishment of a comprehensive parts database to bolster our negotiating power on significant projects.

Core Responsibilities:

Dashboard Creation:

• Develop and oversee interactive procurement dashboards and reports utilizing business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Excel) to ensure real-time insight into spending, supplier performance, cost-saving opportunities, and other essential metrics.
• Engage with stakeholders to determine dashboard specifications and continuously improve visualization and user experience.

Automation Needs Assessment & Execution:

• Evaluate existing procurement workflows to identify inefficiencies and potential areas for automation.
• Collect requirements from various teams to optimize manual tasks through automation technologies (e.g., Excel macros, RPA, or low-code platforms).
• Assist in the testing and launch of automated solutions.

Enhancement of Business Processes:

• Document and outline current procurement processes.
• Spot gaps and propose enhancements to promote efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Support the creation and implementation of new policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), or templates.

Construction of Parts Database:

• Contribute significantly to the development and upkeep of a centralized parts and materials database, capturing technical, commercial, and historical negotiation details.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and accessibility to enable improved sourcing decisions and enhance negotiation capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and sourcing teams to collect precise parts data.

Cross-Departmental Assistance:

• Offer analytical support and actionable insights to procurement, supply chain, and project teams.
• Prepare data-driven presentations and reports to aid supplier negotiations and decision-making processes.

About You

• Self-reliant, capable of meeting project deadlines effectively.
• Possess strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and at least one BI tool (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate, or Tableau).
• Have experience with process mapping, automation technologies (VBA, RPA, etc.), and data management.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
