Finance & Admin Manager

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Accounting

• Establish and oversee comprehensive accounting and finance operations for the Malaysia branch.
• Facilitate the transition of accounting tasks from external providers to in-house management.
• Create and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal financial controls.
• Generate monthly management accounts, financial reports, and analyses for the Group CFO.
• Ensure adherence to local tax laws, statutory obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Administer and maintain the Autocount accounting system.
• Assist during year-end audits and collaborate with external auditors and tax agents.
• Coordinate with the UK finance team on consolidated reporting, group matters, and financial inquiries.

Administration

• Manage daily operations and general administrative tasks for the KL office.
• Oversee office procurement, vendor agreements, and asset management.
• Assist with HR administrative functions, including leave tracking, onboarding paperwork, and payroll coordination.
• Manage regulatory submissions, licenses, and company secretarial documentation in partnership with service providers.
• Ensure a compliant and efficient operational framework for the Malaysia team.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, or equivalent) is mandatory.
• Experience in establishing accounting functions or serving in a sole contributor capacity is highly beneficial.
• Proficient in Autocount software.
• Strong understanding of Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory compliance.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work autonomously.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with international stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Sabah for site visits and industry exposure.
