Facility Manager

Brief Summary

• Oversee facilities operations, compliance, inspections, and ongoing improvement across a large facility. Deliver managerial direction, contribute to strategic meetings, and ensure consistent achievement of contractual and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and supporting systems to identify improvement opportunities and propose suitable corrective actions. Lead and mentor the operations team to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure all contractual responsibilities are met by the relevant teams. Maintain full compliance with statutory and non-statutory licensing requirements. Coordinate regular operations meetings with appropriate stakeholders and manage operational concerns that require escalation to management. Assist the Account Director or Account Manager during strategic-level meetings as needed. Oversee and support audits, key performance indicator (KPI) reviews, and contractual-related activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university. At least 10 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of five years in a managerial role. Demonstrated experience in facilities management within a large facility. Strong knowledge of building systems, air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation, mechanical and electrical systems, and fire safety management. Practical, hands-on experience in building and mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and perform effectively under pressure. Strong leadership, planning, organisation and quality management capabilities. High level of initiative, integrity and service orientation. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and resolve operational matters.
