Job Description

• Lead end-to-end financial control activities, covering month-end close, group reporting and statutory accounting across multiple entities.
• Manage merchant settlement, payment reconciliations and financial controls, ensuring precision within high-volume transaction settings.
• Direct safeguarding processes, regulatory reporting and compliance duties across regulated jurisdictions.
• Serve as the key liaison for external auditors, tax advisors and corporate service providers, ensuring all statutory deliverables are completed on time.
• Work closely with senior leadership to deliver analysis on profitability, pricing, unit economics and overall business performance.
• Enable process enhancements, automation initiatives and finance transformation programs to support business scalability.
• Lead, mentor and develop a small finance operations team, while sustaining exceptionally high levels of accuracy and governance.

The Successful Applicant

• Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• 6+ years of finance experience, ideally with Big 4 Audit and commercial experience within payments.
• Demonstrated ownership of full financial close processes and statutory audits.
• Experience handling multi-entity accounting and working across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong knowledge of financial controls, reconciliations, reporting and compliance requirements.
• Prior team leadership or people management experience.
• Experience in fintech, payments, financial services or other regulated industries is highly advantageous.
• Understanding of safeguarding, merchant settlement, payment operations or regulated financial environments would be beneficial.
• Capability to thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced and high-growth business setting.
