Engineering Technician Mechanical ( 1 year contract)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine operations, maintenance, and corrective measures on utility systems. Implement preventive maintenance activities on mechanical equipment and systems. Diagnose mechanical problems to determine their root causes. Repair or replace defective mechanical components such as bearings, belts, valves, or pumps. Utilize tools and equipment essential for mechanical maintenance tasks. Interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints effectively. Collaborate with engineers and team members on various maintenance projects. Keep precise records of maintenance actions and equipment performance metrics. Support the installation and commissioning of new mechanical systems. Oversee contractors/vendors to ensure adherence to established procedures. Comply with safety standards and maintain an organized work environment. Ensure thorough documentation of all maintenance and repair tasks.

Requirements

• GCE Level or equivalent with a Technical qualification, along with a Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Marine/Mechatronic/Air Conditioning/Refrigeration. Relevant professional experience in sectors such as Pharmaceutical/Food/Petrochemical/Wafer/Semiconductor. Possession of MOM 1st Class or 2nd Class Steam Boiler Attendant Certificate/Electrician Grade License. Familiarity with cGMP, ISO 9001/14001 & OSHA 18001 standards. Availability to work on rotating shifts is essential. Additional expertise in welding and pipe fitting is a plus. Capability to operate Material Handling Equipment (Forklift and Scissor Lift) is an advantage.
