Electrical BIM Engineer

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer (7-10 years) with a strong background in building services design, with a focus on North American and Canadian projects. This position demands proven capability in electrical system design, multidisciplinary coordination, and the delivery of high-quality engineering outputs on schedule.

Your role

• Relevant and appropriate experience of 7 to 10 years as Engineer within building services.
• Experience working in a multi-discipline environment and a strong understanding of coordination and interfaces with other disciplines.
• Trained and experienced in the design of electrical systems design to North American & Canadian standards.
• Proficient and capable user of IT tools, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to deliver assigned work and integrate effectively with larger project teams.
• Strong report writing skills; experience preparing presentations for, and attending meetings with, clients is essential.
  
  

About You

• Experience working in a Multi-D'environment and a strong understanding of coordination and interfaces with other disciplines.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural multilingual environment.
• Openness to new ideas and innovative approaches.
• Competency in IT tools, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and electrical design tools such as AGi32, SKM Power system, ETAP, Amtech, Dialux etc.
• Proficiency in Revit, BIM 360, AutoCAD is a must.
• Wider knowledge of other disciplines is desirable.
• Responsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost.
• Able to work as a reliable and proactive member of the team.
• Strong communication, presentation and listening skills.
• Capability to write professional reports.
• Identifies and communicates concerns to the immediate supervisor.
• Ability to take individual responsibilities.
• Willingness to share information and knowledge with team members.
• Flexibility in work tasks and locations, including the ability to work with teams in a different time zone.
• Authors technical reports of acceptable technical and presentational quality. Able to present their work on the project in presentations and meetings. Relevant and appropriate experience as a designer within building services.
• You will be a competent designer to CSA and NFPA standards.
• You will have experience in Revit and delivered projects using BIM skills.
• Demonstrates the necessary level of competence and responsibility according to the grade.
• You will manage productivity and quality of your deliverables.
• Maintains harmony and a productive atmosphere by being open about work activities and project status.
• Good command of the English and French Language, and effective communication both written and verbal.
