Data Security Architect

We are looking for a skilled Data Security Architect to join our team and play a crucial role in our enterprise-wide efforts to protect sensitive data. This position focuses on the deployment and enhancement of data discovery and classification functionalities across various environments, prioritizing scalable governance and compliance methodologies. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve transparency regarding data assets, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and contribute to the overarching strategy for information protection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead initiatives aimed at identifying and managing sensitive data in diverse environments.

• Set up and maintain data governance tools to guarantee effective integration with enterprise systems and platforms.

• Develop and enhance policies and guidelines for data classification and protection, ensuring alignment with regulatory and organizational standards.

• Work alongside internal stakeholders to evaluate data sensitivity and apply suitable protective measures.

• Assist in the automation of data labeling and policy enforcement across a variety of technologies.

• Oversee and refine data discovery processes to ensure operational efficiency and precision.

• Generate insights and reports to support risk management and compliance initiatives.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and suggest improvements to bolster data security posture.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with enterprise-level data discovery and classification platforms.

• Practical experience with BigID or comparable tools (e.g., MIP, Varonis, Informatica) is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of data protection principles, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements across various global jurisdictions.

• Familiarity with both structured and unstructured data environments, including databases, collaboration tools, and cloud repositories.

• Capability to configure and enhance data classification workflows and policies within complex technological settings.

• Experience integrating data governance tools with broader security and compliance technologies.

• Working knowledge of metadata, data lineage, and content inspection methodologies.

• Proficiency with scripting or automation tools to bolster operational efficiency.

• Exceptional analytical thinking and communication abilities, with a talent for engaging diverse stakeholders.
