Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and uphold Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions along with process and operations automation in Industry 4.0 settings.
Create and maintain interfaces that integrate MES with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and shop floor automation technologies (e.g., IoT platforms).
Work closely with cross-functional teams to gain insights into manufacturing processes, collect system requirements, and deliver customized IT solutions.
Convert user requirements into technical specifications and collaborate with development teams to ensure effective solution implementation.
Document technical solutions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and system upkeep.
Provide training for business users and support IT Acceptance Testing (ITAT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for MES and extended MES solutions.
Create scripts, services, and dashboards to enhance manufacturing KPIs, traceability, and data-driven decision-making processes.
Diagnose and resolve issues within manufacturing applications to minimize production disruptions.
Offer 24/7 production support for MES and its extensions.
Aid in system upgrades, migrations, and implementation tasks for manufacturing systems.

Qualifications

Education

Master's, Bachelor's, or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Experience

3–8 years of experience in software development or system analysis specifically within a manufacturing or industrial context.
Familiarity with change management processes and the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience in working with or leading virtual, cross-functional teams (operations, product/process, production, and quality engineering teams).

Skills & Knowledge

Manufacturing & Domain Knowledge

Methodologies (Added Advantage)

Familiarity with FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and 8D problem-solving methodologies is beneficial.

Technical Skills

Proficient in programming languages such as C# (.NET), Java, Python, or similar.
Strong knowledge of SQL/Oracle databases, including stored procedures.
Experience in developing web and/or Windows applications and APIs.
Understanding of Agile methodology and Scrum is an advantage.
