Position Title: Cloud FinOps Lead - Azure
Experience Required: 4+ years
Job Location: Singapore
Contract Length: 12 months with the possibility of extension (subject to project needs).
Work Arrangement: On-site (WFO) position.
Residency Requirement: Candidates must currently reside in Singapore.
About the Position:
We are looking for a Cloud FinOps Lead to spearhead our Cloud Financial Management initiatives, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure. This role will serve as a crucial link between cloud engineering, finance, and business operations, aiming to enhance cloud expenditure efficiency, create cost transparency, and maximize the value derived from cloud investments.
Primary Responsibilities
- FinOps Oversight: Establish cost allocation guidelines across subscriptions, resource groups, and tags; implement showback/chargeback frameworks.
- Cost Management: Lead initiatives to reduce costs across compute, storage, and database services utilizing Microsoft Cost Management, Azure Advisor, Savings Plans, RIs, and Azure Hybrid Benefit.
- Financial Strategy: Collaborate with Finance and Engineering teams on budget development, monthly variance assessments (Budget vs. Actuals), and forecasting consumption.
- Engineering Collaboration: Work with Architects during Day 0 solution design to create cost-conscious architecture standards.
Qualifications We Seek
- 5+ years of experience in IT Cloud/Infrastructure or Technology Finance, including 2+ years of direct involvement in public cloud cost management with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Comprehensive understanding of Azure billing models, subscriptions, and optimization tools.
- Proficient in Excel & data analysis (experience with Power BI is advantageous).
- Strong communication skills to effectively connect technical engineering and executive finance teams.
- Must be located in Singapore.
