Associate Lecturer - CM3065 Intelligent Signal Processing

This module is designed to offer an extensive understanding of digital signal processing methodologies and their applications. You will explore the ways in which audio and video signals can be captured and processed through computer programs. Key topics include time domain and frequency domain representations and their respective processing techniques. You will gain insights into how to extract meaningful information from audio signals. Additionally, you will implement systems for movement and facial detection that operate with real-time camera input. Intelligent signal processing encompasses the capturing, storing, playing, processing, and importantly, the extraction of valuable information from diverse signals encountered in the real world via computer systems. Daily interactions with intelligent signal processing systems, such as voice-activated digital assistants, underscore the relevance of this module. This course builds on foundational concepts in the computer science curriculum, including computer graphics, data representation, and artificial intelligence. It equips you with an advanced skill set for developing computer programs capable of handling various digital signals.

Job Recruitment

• A Ph.D or Master's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the tertiary level is preferred
• 5 years of relevant professional experience will be beneficial
• Applicants must be available to teach daytime classes
