Your Role And Responsibilities

As an Application Developer focused on AWS Cloud Migration, you will apply advanced knowledge of migration and modernization tools to design and build migration delivery engagements. You will use your expertise in migration and modernization assessment, application code refactoring, and microservices development to enable successful cloud migrations.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

• Design Migration Engagements: Design and build migration delivery engagements by installing, configuring, and optimizing migration and modernization tools in line with engagement requirements.
• Assess and Refactor Code: Use migration and modernization assessment and design expertise to refactor application code, including semantic and syntactical updates, to achieve strong performance on the target cloud platform.
• Create Microservices: Leverage expertise in developing microservices, APIs, and converting workloads into containers to support the cloud migration of applications.
• Optimize Application Performance: Use advanced knowledge of application code refactoring—covering optimization and performance parameters—to ensure high-performing applications on the cloud platform.
• Collaborate with Tools: Support cloud migration activities by working with AWS tools, including AWS Beanstalk, AWS Cloud9, AWS CodeStar, and AWS Command Line Interface.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Migration Tool Expertise: Exposure to migration and modernization tools, including installation, configuration, and optimization to meet engagement requirements.
• Cloud Migration Assessment: Experience with migration and modernization assessment and design, with emphasis on target cloud platforms.
• Application Code Refactoring: Exposure to application code refactoring, including semantic and syntactical changes, optimization, and performance parameters.
• Microservice Development: Experience developing microservices, APIs, and converting workloads into containers for cloud migration.
• AWS Tool Proficiency: Exposure to AWS tools, including AWS Beanstalk, AWS Cloud9, AWS CodeStar, and AWS Command Line Interface, to support cloud migration efforts.

• Advanced Cloud Migration Tools: Exposure to migration and modernization tools, including installation, configuration, and optimization for engagement requirements, is beneficial.
