Your Role And Responsibilities
As an Application Consultant focused on Edge & Network Cloud, you will apply your knowledge of core concepts and technologies related to Telecom Network, Software Defined Network/NFV to deliver solutions. In this role, you will carry out consulting, requirements gathering, and implementation activities to achieve business goals.
Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include
- Perform Consulting Services: Provide expert advice and guidance to clients regarding the implementation and configuration of ALM, ASM, and multiple virtual network functions sourced from NEPs.
- Requirement Gathering: Partner with stakeholders to collect requirements and produce High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
- Implement and Configure Solutions: Use technical expertise to implement and configure ALM, ASM, and additional solutions, ensuring smooth integration with existing OSS environments.
- Integrate with OSS Systems: Integrate ALM, ASM, NOI with other OSS systems as needed based on the solution scope to maintain a unified and efficient system.
- Solution Delivery: Assist with solution delivery by applying Agile methodologies and lifecycle management best practices.

Key Responsibilities
- 8+ years of experience in Netcool Infra
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain IBM Netcool/OMNIbus infrastructure.
- Manage Netcool components including ObjectServer, Probe, Gateway, and Web GUI.
- Monitor the health, availability, and performance of the Netcool environment.
- Execute incident, problem, and change management activities for Netcool infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot issues involving ObjectServer, probes, gateways, event flow, and connectivity.
- Configure and maintain Netcool probes and gateways to integrate with upstream monitoring systems.
- Administer ObjectServer databases, including configuration, maintenance, synchronization, and troubleshooting.
- Support high-availability (HA) and failover setups for Netcool components.
- Monitor event flow and investigate event loss, duplication, delays, or incorrect event correlation.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and infrastructure migrations.
- Review application and system logs to identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate with Linux/Unix teams to perform OS-level troubleshooting, performance tuning, and address issues related to filesystem, processes, and services.
- Support integrations between Netcool and external systems, including monitoring tools, ticketing platforms, and ITSM solutions.
- Create and maintain operational scripts using Shell scripting or comparable technologies when required.
- Telecom Network Architecture: Experience with exposure to designing and implementing telecom network architectures, including Software Defined Network and NFV, to support solution delivery.
- Advanced ALM and ASM: Hands-on experience with advanced implementation and configuration of ALM and ASM, including integration with other OSS systems.
- Virtual Network Functionality: Knowledge of implementing and configuring various virtual network functions from Network Equipment Providers (NEPs) within telecom networks.
