API Testing Consultant

Position Overview:

• About the Role
• We seek a seasoned Project Manager in Quality Engineering to spearhead quality assurance efforts for extensive API-driven applications and distributed systems.
• This position requires you to formulate testing strategies, oversee cross-functional teams, ensure exceptional delivery, and advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, DevOps teams, and QA engineers to provide reliable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

Core Responsibilities:

• Oversee comprehensive project delivery for Quality Engineering initiatives, focusing on API and integration testing.
• Establish project plans, testing strategies, milestones, risk assessments, and governance procedures.
• Lead QA teams, manage resource allocation, monitor deliverables, and guarantee compliance with timelines and quality benchmarks.
• Initiate API testing and automation efforts across microservices and distributed systems.
• Engage with stakeholders to synchronize project goals, priorities, and release timelines.
• Assess project health through metrics dashboards and routine status updates.
• Recognize risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, and proactively execute mitigation strategies.
• Ensure the smooth incorporation of testing practices into CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery frameworks.
• Facilitate defect triage, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement processes.
• Guide team members and advocate for quality engineering best practices throughout programs.

Technical Qualifications:

• A minimum of 8 years in Software Testing, Quality Engineering, or Test Management with project leadership experience.
• In-depth knowledge of API Testing, Automation Testing, and Quality Assurance methodologies.
• Proven experience in managing Agile Scrum projects and harmonizing cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and API testing tools.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management, project planning, risk management, and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deliver projects within scope, schedule, and quality standards.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Duties:

• Conduct API Design Reviews and Contract Testing.
• Implement DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Work with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Employ metrics-driven Quality Management.
• PMP, Project Management Professional, Scrum Master, or Agile Certifications are advantageous.
