SENIOR TEST MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Responsibilities

• Equipment Testing Control and Maintenance - Establish tester capabilities while ensuring functionality and managing software updates.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of necessary controls, maintenance practices, precautions, and setup parameters to comply with product specifications.
• Oversee the transfer and qualification processes of testing equipment and requirements for new product launches.
• Ensure optimal operation of all test hardware and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Conduct periodic preventive maintenance on testing equipment.
• Assess test equipment and hardware, establish equipment control and verification specifications, qualify related tests, and recommend process improvements to enhance production.
• Focus on reducing test time, simplifying processes, enhancing tester reliability, streamlining equipment conversions, minimizing tester over-rejections, and improving tester performance.
• Conduct gauge repeatability and reliability studies, correlation studies, and implement actions to enhance these tester capabilities.
• Simplify or eliminate test processes and equipment conversions to reduce testing time.
• Utilize strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with peers and foster teamwork.
• Exhibit emotional intelligence in workplace interactions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize resource utilization.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by direct supervisors as needed.
• Apply risk-based thinking during task planning and execution.
• Adhere to ISO standards, company policies, regulations, and applicable codes.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Equipment Maintenance/Testing and familiarity with testing methodologies. Candidates lacking specific experience may be considered by the hiring manager based on job requirements, availability of mentorship, and learning duration.
• Proficient in computer literacy, possessing strong communication skills for effective reporting of information and data. A keen interest in computer hardware engineering is essential.
• Experience in configuring and troubleshooting various desktop software and hardware components.
• Familiarity with Total Control Methodology for equipment management.
