Your Responsibilities

As a Back-End Developer for IBM Z, you will be responsible for designing, developing, conducting unit tests, and delivering solutions for IBM Z, including z/OS, by employing agile methodologies and DevOps tools. You will collaborate within a team to gather requirements, design, code, debug, and test innovative solutions that address client needs and challenges.

Your Key Responsibilities Include

• Solution Design and Development: Create, develop, and unit test solutions for IBM Z using programming languages such as C to provide top-quality offerings.
• Collaborative Problem-Solving: Engage in teamwork to comprehend client requirements, design, code, debug, and test innovative solutions to client challenges, ensuring exceptional quality and resilience.
• Quality Assurance: Guarantee that solutions align with high standards of quality and resilience, supporting strategic priorities including cloud initiatives.
• Agile Methodologies and DevOps Tools: Apply agile practices and DevOps tools to efficiently and effectively deliver solutions.
  
  

Preferred Education

Bachelor's Degree

Essential Technical and Professional Expertise

12+ years of pertinent experience

Proficiency with the Software Development Life Cycle, including coding, unit testing, functional or component testing, system testing, and integration testing

Proven experience in Systems project development

• Proficient programming abilities in C
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Quick adaptability to new tools
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate successfully in a global team setting.
• Capable of leading and mentoring less experienced professionals

• Familiarity with z/OS architecture and system programming
