- Client Location Experience Notice Period S Boss – SBI Subsidiary Mahape, Navi Mumbai 5+ Years Candidates available to join within 30 days preferred Employment Type Primary Technology Role Overview Full-time MySQL / MariaDB We are seeking a seasoned Senior MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) with extensive experience in MySQL/MariaDB database management, security, high availability, replication, backup and recovery, and performance optimization. The selected candidate will be tasked with overseeing, maintaining, securing, and enhancing MySQL/MariaDB databases to ensure high availability and uninterrupted business operations. Key Responsibilities • Administer and maintain MySQL/MariaDB databases within production settings. • Conduct database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and hardening processes. • Establish and oversee database security and access control measures. • Execute backup and restore operations, including Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR). • Manage High Availability and database replication strategies, including Master-Slave Replication, Group Replication, and Galera Cluster. • Assist with Disaster Recovery (DR) initiatives and database recovery protocols. • Monitor database performance and availability, troubleshooting any issues that arise. • Engage in performance tuning and query optimization efforts. • Develop and troubleshoot SQL queries. • Utilize Bash scripting for database administration and automation tasks. • Perform troubleshooting utilizing Linux command-line tools. • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and other technical teams to resolve database-related challenges. • Offer analytical troubleshooting and support for critical production incidents. Mandatory Skills • 5+ years of experience in MySQL/MariaDB Database Administration. • Proficient hands-on experience with MySQL/MariaDB. • Knowledge of database security, patching, installation, configuration, and hardening techniques. • Experience with upgrades, backup & restore processes, and PITR. • Strong comprehension of High Availability and Replication methods. • Practical knowledge of Master-Slave Replication, Group Replication, and/or Galera Cluster. • Understanding of Disaster Recovery principles and their implementation. • Expertise in performance tuning and query optimization. • Proficiency in SQL queries. • Familiarity with Bash scripting. • Solid Linux troubleshooting and command-line expertise. • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and coordination capabilities. Educational Qualifications • B.Sc. (IT/CS) • BCA • B.E./B.Tech • M.E./M.Tech • MCA • M.Sc.
