Job Description
- Coordinate follow-ups with insurance carriers to track outstanding claims and confirm payment status.
- Review, analyze, and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayment issues.
- Examine claim information to determine the causes of delayed or denied reimbursements.
- Reach out to insurance payers to verify claim status and support expedited reimbursement processing.
- Complete prompt accounts receivable (AR) follow-ups to support maximum collections.
- Must have hands-on experience with CMS-1500 claim forms and physician billing claims.
- Manage appeals and claim resubmissions in accordance with payer guidelines.
- Document all follow-up actions accurately within the billing system.
- Must have hands-on experience with UB-04 claim forms and hospital billing claims.
