Ab Initio App Support

Job Description:

• We are looking for an experienced Ab Initio Application Support Engineer with 9 to 12 years of experience across both Ab Initio Development and Production Support
• The successful candidate will have strong expertise in ETL development, job monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and production environment performance optimization

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, enhance, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio
• Provide L2/L3 production support for business-critical data integration applications
• Monitor daily batch jobs and ensure successful execution within SLA timelines
• Investigate application failures, troubleshoot issues, and deliver timely resolutions
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents and implement preventive actions
• Collaborate with business users, developers, and infrastructure teams to resolve production issues
• Support application releases, deployments, and code migrations across different environments
• Develop shell scripts and automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency
• Optimize ETL jobs to improve performance and scalability
• Participate in on-call support and weekend deployment activities as required
• Maintain support documentation, SOPs, and a knowledge repository

Technical Requirements:

• 9 to 12 years of experience in Ab Initio Development and Application Support
• Strong hands-on experience with
• Ab Initio GDE (Graphical Development Environment)
• Co Operating System
• EME (Enterprise Meta Environment)
• Conduct IT
• Strong SQL and database skills (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, etc.)
• Experience with Unix/Linux commands and Shell Scripting
• Knowledge of ETL, Data Warehousing, and Data Migration concepts
• Experience with incident management, problem management, and change management processes
• Exposure to job scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or similar
• Ability to analyze logs and efficiently troubleshoot production issues
