Job Description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Encompass:

Data Workstream Execution & Requirements Delivery

  • Own and lead the assigned data workstream activities, coordinating with the Core Team to ensure Salesforce data requirements are clearly understood, appropriately prioritized, delivered, validated, and fully documented
  • Convert business process needs into actionable data requirements, including field definitions, validation expectations, migration rules, and acceptance criteria
  • Enable data migration, cleansing, enrichment, deduplication, validation, and cutover readiness efforts across implementation waves
  • Manage data issue triage and execution, including root-cause analysis, ownership assignment, remediation tracking, and closure reporting
  • Preserve and maintain data dictionaries, field inventories, decision logs, standards documentation, and stewardship artifacts for assigned domains

Standards, Governance & Quality Controls

  • Ensure assigned Salesforce data remains consistent with data quality, data security, data compliance, and global reporting standards
  • Act as the decision arbiter for data model, field, and definition changes that influence global standards, reporting definitions, integrations, or cross-Business Group consistency
  • Establish and enforce data standards, naming conventions, field-level governance rules, required values, ownership rules, and quality threshold requirements
  • Track and monitor data quality metrics, surface recurring issues, and drive remediation in partnership with business owners, technical teams, and Data Cloud Hygiene leadership

Collaboration, Integration & Operating Support

  • Collaborate with Integration leads to confirm data flow integrity, validate transformation rules, support source-of-truth decisions, and assess downstream reporting impacts
  • Partner with the Data Cloud Hygiene Manager on compliance reporting, audit support, data retention considerations, masking requirements, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Assist business readiness by communicating standards, training users, documenting expectations, and reinforcing stewardship practices
  • Escalate unresolved data conflicts, quality risks, or standards exceptions through the appropriate governance forums

Who You Are:

You bring structure to complex data efforts by converting standards, definitions, and requirements into repeatable execution (Plans and Aligns; Ensures Accountability). You are highly detail-oriented while maintaining a strong view of the overall business context, and you understand how field definitions, duplicate records, or data model changes can affect reporting, integration, security, and user adoption (Manages Complexity; Decision Quality). You collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams, communicate requirements clearly, and help resolve data conflicts in a constructive, standards-led manner (Collaborates; Communicates Effectively; Interpersonal Savvy). You are committed to continuously improving data quality because you know trusted data is essential to Northstar success (Drives Results).

For This Role, You Will Need:

Technical Skills:

  • Salesforce data model, schema design concepts, object relationships, field definitions, validation rules, and reporting impacts
  • Data quality tools, data profiling, duplicate management, monitoring, issue tracking, and remediation workflows
  • Data migration and ETL concepts, including mapping, transformation, cleansing, enrichment, validation, and cutover support
  • Salesforce Data Cloud fundamentals and how stewardship decisions affect identity resolution, segmentation, reporting, and AI readiness
  • SQL, Excel, reporting, or analytical tools used to profile data, investigate quality issues, and validate remediation
  • Data privacy, security, compliance, access control, and audit support concepts

Interpersonal and Leadership Skills:

  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and discipline in documenting decisions and standards
  • Collaborative mindset across business and technical teams, with the ability to explain data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Effective conflict resolution when data standards, field definitions, or ownership expectations differ across teams
  • Process-driven approach with follow-through on issue remediation, migration readiness, and quality improvement actions
  • Ability to escalate risks clearly and constructively through governance channels when standards or delivery outcomes are at stake

Required Certifications:

  • Salesforce Data Cloud certification required
  • Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, data quality, MDM, analytics, or business analysis certifications valued

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience managing manufacturing or industrial data
  • Experience with Salesforce-to-ERP data synchronization
  • Background in or exposure to Master Data Management and enterprise customer/master data programs
  • Experience with multi-org Salesforce data governance
  • Experience supporting Salesforce data migration, consolidation, enrichment, or global template programs

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Information Systems, Business, Data Management, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data management, data stewardship, data quality, business analysis, data migration, or enterprise systems roles
  • Experience working with Salesforce data models, field governance, data migration, data quality controls, or CRM data operations
  • Ability to document clear data standards, definitions, rules, requirements, and issue-resolution processes
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with attention to detail and process discipline
  • Approximately 10-20% travel (global)
