Overview:
The SAP Project Manager is responsible for overseeing Capgemini's implementation efforts in collaboration with the delivery team based in India. This role encompasses the entire SAP project lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and hypercare. The position necessitates active management of an offshore SAP team consisting of experts in MM, SD, Integration, ABAP, and Security.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and oversee Capgemini's SAP delivery initiatives, including schedules, milestones, and dependencies.
• Facilitate coordination among the cross-functional SAP delivery team.
• Manage the prioritized delivery backlog within the established fixed capacity.
• Monitor and report on progress, risks, issues, actions, and capacity limitations.
• Coordinate testing phases, defect resolution, deployment, go-live, and hypercare activities.
• Collaborate with J&J stakeholders to secure timely inputs, make decisions, and obtain access and approvals.
• Escalate any changes in scope, delivery risks, and instances of workload exceeding available capacity.
• Lead project governance meetings and provide status updates.
Required Experience
• Proven experience in managing SAP implementation or deployment projects.
• Strong understanding of the SAP delivery lifecycle, from development through hypercare.
• Experience in coordinating both functional and technical SAP teams.
• Excellent project planning, RAID management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery with minimal client oversight.
• Availability to align work hours with Singapore business times.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Cantonese language skills are essential.
