Project Manager

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage designated projects, ensuring efficient procurement of labor, materials, and equipment. Assess and monitor subcontractor performance to uphold project standards. Supervise project timelines and implement corrective measures to rectify any schedule discrepancies. Communicate with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities about project developments and necessary approvals. Prepare and present progress claims to facilitate positive cash flow. Ensure a smooth project handover to clients upon completion. Address any defect complaints during the Defects Liability Period (DLP). Assist in contract management, covering claims, variations, and final account preparations. Provide cash flow forecasts to maintain project viability and adherence to budget constraints. Enhance project profit margins through effective cost tracking and management. Lead negotiations on variation orders with main contractors, consultants, and subcontractors. Review and validate monthly invoices from subcontractors and suppliers. Aid management in monitoring project accounts receivable. Mentor and guide new project personnel. Assign tasks and supervise project team members, including engineers and safety coordinators. Conduct regular project meetings to monitor progress and resolve issues. Ensure thorough documentation and assessment of all suppliers. Effectively address customer complaints and warranty claims. Maintain and update logs for non-conformances and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification. At least 8 years of relevant industry experience. Demonstrated capability to manage projects proficiently, while adhering to established timelines and budgets. Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong emphasis on stakeholder communication and satisfaction. Experience in managing project cash flow and engaging in contractual negotiations.
