Role: Project Controller

Duration: 6 months contract

Salary: Up to RM12,000 overall package

Working Location: Damansara Utama

Working Mode: Hybrid

Working time: 8:30am to 5:30pm

JD:

1. Compile Monthly Engineering reports featuring key KPIs such as CAPEX and Site Investment Council updates.
2. Develop project cost estimation and conduct Value Improvement Reviews.
3. Carry out project risk assessments where applicable.
4. Perform project cost and scheduling benchmarking.
5. Prepare Project Controlling and Execution plans where applicable.
6. Define Project Risk Management (Safety, quality, functional, project execution) where applicable.
7. Conduct project reviews such as Technical Quality Review (TQR) and Constructability where applicable.
8. Undertake project monitoring and reporting covering Cost, Schedule, and Risks.
9. Set up project change management and manage approved changes.
10. Execute project stage-gate activities and perform project definition level rating (PDRI) where applicable.
11. Establish project claim management.
12. Develop project phasing for cash out and coordinate with Finance for monthly updates. Work with project managers/users to align cash-out phasing and monthly phasing. SAP knowledge is must for this task.
13. Route project charters and Car form A for approval based on SIC, and work with Procurement/Finance to issue PO’s.
14. Manage project deficiencies and deviations.
15. Produce the final project report, including feedback on project benchmarking data and lessons learned.
16. Complete project handover documentation and CAR Form E as applicable.
17. Maintain SOPs and other standards within Project Management / Project Controls.

Must-Have Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or related discipline.
• Experience in Project Controls, Project Cost Control, Project Controller, CAPEX Project Management, or Engineering Project Management.
• Experience preparing project cost reports, cash flow forecasting, CAPEX tracking, and budget monitoring.
• Good understanding of project lifecycle from initiation to handover.
• Hands-on experience with SAP for PO tracking, project costing, budgeting, cash-out forecasting, and reporting.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, FMCG, chemical, oil & gas, or industrial environments.
• Exposure to Stage Gate Process, PDRI (Project Definition Rating Index), Risk Management, and Change Management.
• Experience handling multiple CAPEX projects simultaneously.
