Experience: 10-15 years in total, with a minimum of 7 years dedicated to designing and building enterprise data governance and management strategies.

Role Overview

We are in search of a distinguished Power BI & Data Engineering Lead to spearhead enterprise-level data transformation initiatives, modernize business intelligence, and lead analytics engineering projects.

This position requires a strategic leader with extensive knowledge in Data Engineering, Power BI Architecture, Azure Data Platforms, and contemporary analytics ecosystems, alongside exemplary people leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

The successful candidate will guide high-performing engineering teams, design scalable and cloud-native data infrastructures, establish governance frameworks, and provide actionable business insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization.

Additionally, this role necessitates substantial experience in modernizing enterprise reporting, KPI-driven analytics, and advanced BI ecosystems that incorporate AI-enabled analytics capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

• Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing team of Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Analytics experts.
• Define and implement the enterprise BI and Data Engineering roadmap in alignment with organizational objectives and digital transformation efforts.
• Work closely with business leaders, product owners, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to promote data-driven decision-making.
• Oversee delivery governance, execution planning, resource allocation, and operational excellence across BI and Data Engineering projects.
• Foster KPI-driven execution, engineering best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
  

Data Engineering & BI Architecture

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms utilizing Azure cloud technologies.
• Lead the enterprise-wide deployment of robust ETL/ELT frameworks, modern data pipelines, and cloud-native analytics solutions.
• Develop and optimize enterprise data models that support advanced analytics, self-service BI, and executive reporting.
• Oversee the creation and enhancement of Power BI dashboards, semantic models, DAX calculations, and enterprise reporting ecosystems.
• Construct scalable data integration frameworks using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, SQL Server, and Data Lake technologies.
• Facilitate modern analytics architectures that incorporate Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse patterns, and AI-driven analytics capabilities.
• Promote automation and engineering excellence through CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure optimization.
  
  

Governance, Quality & Compliance

• Establish enterprise standards for data governance, metadata management, data quality, and security compliance.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance optimization across enterprise BI and analytics platforms.
• Implement monitoring, observability, and audit frameworks for enterprise reporting and data engineering ecosystems.
• Encourage best practices regarding role-based access control (RBAC), data lineage, compliance, and platform governance.
  
  

Innovation & Transformation

• Research and integrate emerging technologies in Data Engineering, BI modernization, AI-driven analytics, and cloud ecosystems.
• Lead modernization efforts transitioning from legacy reporting systems to contemporary cloud-native analytics platforms.
• Advance AI-enabled analytics capabilities using Microsoft Fabric, Azure ML, and intelligent reporting ecosystems.
• Encourage the adoption of reusable frameworks, accelerators, and standardized delivery methodologies across teams.
  
  

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
  
  

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, and Enterprise Reporting.
• 4+ years of leadership experience in managing enterprise engineering or analytics teams.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing large-scale BI transformation and cloud analytics initiatives.
• Strong experience in stakeholder management and customer-facing leadership roles.
