Job Overview

We are in search of an adept OpenWRT Developer who will be responsible for the design, development, and customization of embedded Linux-based firmware tailored for networking devices, including routers, gateways, and IoT systems. The successful candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with OpenWRT/LEDE firmware, Linux kernel development, and network protocols, contributing significantly to the creation of stable, scalable, and high-performance networking solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Customize and generate OpenWRT firmware images for a variety of hardware platforms.
• Develop, integrate, and sustain device drivers and kernel modules.
• Configure and enhance network services (e.g., DHCP, DNS, firewall, VPN).
• Engage in bootloader (U-Boot) customization and board bring-up activities.
• Develop and manage packages (ipk) and incorporate third-party libraries.
• Troubleshoot system-level issues utilizing tools such as gdb, tcpdump, wireshark, and strace.
• Enhance system performance, memory efficiency, and boot time.
• Collaborate with hardware and QA teams to facilitate seamless integration and testing.
• Create and sustain technical documentation for the features and systems developed.
• Ensure firmware security, stability, and adherence to industry standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience with OpenWRT/LEDE development and customization.
• Thorough understanding of Embedded Linux systems and architectures.
• Expertise in C/C++ programming for low-level system development.
• Experience in Linux kernel configuration and compilation.
