Our Clean Water Networks team is among the longest-serving specialist teams in this field, offering consultancy and field support services to clients for the management, performance, and operation of clean water networks in the UK. In light of our ongoing growth, we are currently seeking a Lead Engineer for offshore projects executed from India.

The ideal candidate will become part of a team comprised of hydraulic modellers and civil engineers, contributing to the expansion and successful delivery of projects. This position is perfect for individuals aiming to lead project teams with a globally recognized consultancy.

Your Role

• Contribute to AtkinsRéalis' Clean Water (CW) team.
• Oversee the delivery of various projects related to network modeling, water infrastructure design, and planning from our Bangalore office.
• Facilitate daily communication with our UK project managers and engineers to ensure project deliverables align with client specifications, budget, timelines, and quality standards.
• Promote a culture of innovation and digital delivery.
• Conduct checks and reviews of projects to ensure quality delivery on the first attempt.
• Assist in the technical development of Engineers, Technicians, and Graduates.
• Support the Team Leader with resource management and other administrative tasks.
• Contribute to business development initiatives, including bid preparation and client presentations.
  
  

About You

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional certification from ICE or CIWEM.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience, ideally focused on delivering projects to the UK Water Industry.
• Relevant and substantial experience in a technical setting (water projects).
• Capable of independently executing data processing and analysis to a high standard.
• Ability to devise innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
• Proficient in software such as InfoWorks, Epanet, SynerGee, Aquis, and MapInfo.
• Familiarity with British Standards is preferable.
• Competency in computer applications like Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Exceptional spoken and written English skills in a business context.
• Adherence to defined timelines and established methodologies will be crucial for this role.
• Proven track record of technical success and client satisfaction within the water sector.
• Ability to leverage technical expertise to analyze issues and formulate solutions.
• Willingness to travel to the UK for short-term assignments and training.
• Adept at adapting to diverse cultures and work environments.
• Capability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
• Self-motivated and able to function effectively as part of a team or independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
