IT Technician

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and various other hardware peripherals.
• Conduct regular maintenance and monitoring of physical servers, network devices, and storage systems.
• Oversee server backups, updates, and ensure optimal hardware uptime and performance.
• Quickly respond to hardware-related support requests, incidents, and outages.
• Execute hardware upgrades and replacements as part of lifecycle management.
• Keep accurate documentation of assets, configurations, and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers for hardware repairs or warranty claims.
• Support IT infrastructure projects, including server room setups, migrations, or expansions.
• Ensure adherence to company IT policies and data security protocols.
• Provide after-hours support for critical hardware or server failures on an on-call basis.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of practical experience in IT hardware and server maintenance.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, basic networking, and RAID/storage technologies is preferred.
• Able to perform maintenance during off-hours to minimize disruption to daily operations.

Technical Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of PC and laptop hardware components and peripherals.
• Understanding of server hardware, rack-mounted systems, UPS, and cabling.
• Basic grasp of networking principles (IP, DHCP, DNS).
• Proficient in backup tools and endpoint management software.
