Arvato Systems Malaysia, a global IT service solutions provider headquartered in Germany, has been driving digital transformation initiatives for organizations since 2005.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic, digitally savvy individuals to join our Arvato Systems Malaysia Internship Program (AIP). Our goal is to offer talented Malaysian undergraduates meaningful opportunities to gain practical experience in digital technologies, along with mentorship from our experienced professionals at Arvato Systems Malaysia. This program aims to prepare participants for successful careers in the tech industry.

Interested candidates can benefit from a specialized track in Software Development (Java / Python).

Internship Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, debug, and document software applications aligned with business needs and project goals.
• Research and assess alternative solutions, providing recommendations for implementation.
• Collaborate with team members to estimate project timelines and develop detailed project plans.
• Ensure applications meet performance, quality, maintainability, and security standards.
• Implement best practices in solution delivery.
• Learn and utilize modern technologies, frameworks, development tools, and AI-driven engineering methodologies.
• Contribute to assigned projects and areas of learning through active participation.
• Engage in the technical execution of designated projects or learning areas.
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, research, and productivity enhancements.
• Deliver assigned tasks within agreed deadlines and quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders involved in the projects.
• Participate in company-wide initiatives and events.
• Receive ongoing guidance and mentorship throughout the internship period.
• Maintain an open mindset for constructive feedback and coaching.
• Represent our brand professionally as an ambassador.

Candidate Requirements:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, in the final semester of a Diploma, Degree, or Master's program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related technical fields.
• Minimum CGPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Strong team-oriented attitude with a growth mindset.

Essential Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, particularly Java or Python.
• Familiarity with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot, FastAPI, Django, Flask, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like Angular, Vue.js, jQuery, or React.
• Basic understanding of databases such as Oracle, Postgres, or MySQL.
• Experience with HTML and CSS.
• Tools and IDEs: Experience with development environments like IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, VS Code, or similar.
• GIT version control system.
• Experience with build tools and package managers such as Maven, Gradle, pip, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms and automation tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.

AI & Modern Engineering Competencies:

• Strong interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance software development efficiency.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding, testing, debugging, documentation, code review, and research tools is an advantage.
• Exposure to Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, or AI-powered development platforms is beneficial.
• Additional Skills:
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Design principles.
• Knowledge of MVC architecture.
• Experience with Microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, containerization, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written). Proficiency in English is essential.
• The role requires flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic, customer-driven environment, including regular communication with clients and colleagues in the EU.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, work independently, stay disciplined, self-organize, and learn with minimal supervision.
