Early Childhood Intervention Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a tailored intervention program that aligns with each child's Individualised Education Plan (IEP). Utilize naturalistic approaches, differentiated prompts, and behavioral intervention methods to enhance children's functional outcomes. Work collaboratively with a transdisciplinary team to effectively integrate therapeutic strategies. Develop age-appropriate educational materials that resonate with the interests of children. Promote a nurturing learning environment by applying positive discipline techniques and acknowledging the unique differences of each child. Comply with program policies, health and safety standards, and emergency procedures as required. Oversee Assistant Teachers and Teacher Aides, providing guidance in classroom management and teaching methodologies. Organize regular meetings to assign classroom responsibilities, collaborate on ideas, and plan activities. Conduct annual performance evaluations for Teacher Aides and engage in cluster discussions and event organization. Facilitate parent-teacher meetings, home visits, and case conferences as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education. Proven experience in educating children under 6 years in Early Childhood or Early Intervention environments. A valid First Aid Certificate is a plus.
