CAD Engineer

Job Overview:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering specialization required
• Experience with CAD as a Mechanical Engineer, specifically using SolidWorks for plastic components
• Strong expertise in DFMEA, BOM assembly, and a basic understanding of GD&T
• Experience with tool stack-up analysis
• Ability to assess the impact of part changes in CAD on assembly processes
• Experience in the Medical Devices sector is preferred
• Proficient troubleshooting skills in SolidWorks during modifications

Primary Duties:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Medical Devices industry or a related field preferred
• In-depth knowledge of GD&T tolerance stack-up techniques
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
• Expertise in designing plastic molding components and conducting mold flow analysis
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes
• Skilled in using CAD tools, with a preference for SolidWorks
• Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals and design calculations
• Experience with PLM and PDM software systems
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Competent in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Technical Qualifications:

• Position as a CAD Mechanical Engineer
• Proficient in SolidWorks
• Experience with DFMEA for plastics
