Business Analyst, Credit Origination (Banking, 1-year renewable contract)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Functional Business Analyst on projects concerning credit origination and early warning systems for credit
• Evaluate existing business processes to pinpoint opportunities for AI-enhanced improvements
• Work collaboratively with business sponsors, product managers, data scientists, and technology teams to convert business requirements into actionable solutions
• Assess and verify vendor outputs to maintain governance and quality benchmarks
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and irregularities
• Utilize knowledge in:

- Associative data modeling
- Predictive analytics
- Text analytics
- Classification techniques
- Data exploration and summarization

• Create dashboards and visualizations to clearly convey insights to stakeholders
• Ensure the implementation and realization of AI solutions align with project timelines
• Implement governance controls, transitioning from human-in-the-loop to automated (human-out-of-the-loop) processes
• Identify and pursue opportunities to fine-tune and optimize AI models for enhanced accuracy and productivity

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the banking or financial services sector
• Strong familiarity with the wholesale banking domain, including:
  - Customer onboarding and servicing
  - Data marts and data ecosystems
• Experience in corporate credit origination or similar fields is a plus
• Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Fundamental technical knowledge in: Web applications, APIs, Databases, SQL, Data visualization, and reporting tools
• Capability to work autonomously with minimal oversight
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• A collaborative team player with a positive and proactive approach
