AV PROGRAMMER
ROLE PURPOSE:
Set up, program, and support integrated audiovisual and control systems to ensure they align with operational requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Program, configure and maintain Crestron audiovisual control systems and associated user interfaces.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot AV equipment, signal distribution, switching and control interfaces.
• Support integration with KNX, Lutron and BACnet systems where applicable to the approved design.
• Review system schematics, control requirements and equipment documentation to deliver the approved functionality.
• Carry out system testing, commissioning and fault isolation across AV, control and network interfaces.
• Back up program files and configurations; manage version control, schematics and operational documentation.
• Coordinate with network teams, facilities, vendors and end users to support integration, ongoing support and requested changes.
• Deliver user guidance and support preventive maintenance, incident resolution and handover.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS:
TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
Practical AV system programming and troubleshooting experience; strong working knowledge of KNX, Lutron and BACnet. Capable of understanding signal flow, documenting code, and communicating effectively with both technical and nontechnical users.
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Service availability and prompt incident resolution; high standard of completed work and documentation; compliance with approved change, security and safety procedures.
