Job Description
- Administration of iSeries Access
- Provision, modify, suspend, and revoke user profiles and application access for IBM i iSeries/AS400
- Execute Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) access lifecycle processes
- Create and manage user profiles, group profiles, supplemental groups, and special authorities
- Allocate users to suitable security groups and application roles based on validated business needs
- Handle access requests in alignment with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Verify approvals and ensure compliance with security policies prior to granting access
- Facilitate emergency and temporary access requests following authorized procedures
- Maintain precise records and documentation of all provisioning operations
- Compliance with Access Governance
- Ensure adherence to IAM policies, information security standards, and regulatory guidelines
- Assist in periodic user access reviews and certification initiatives
- Identify and report excessive privileges, Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts, and policy exceptions
- Support internal, external, and regulatory audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit inquiries
- Engage in remediation efforts stemming from audit results and security evaluations
- Operational Support
- Investigate and resolve incidents and service requests related to IBM i access
- Troubleshoot provisioning issues and collaborate with infrastructure, application support, and business teams
- Assist in business continuity and disaster recovery efforts pertaining to IBM i security administration
- Maintain process documentation, knowledge articles, and operational procedures
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify automation opportunities for manual provisioning tasks
- Contribute to the improvement of processes, documentation, and standard operating procedures
- Support IAM transformation efforts and migration projects
- Hands-on experience in administering IBM i iSeries/AS400 security
- Proficient in IBM i user profile administration, group profiles, authorization lists, and special authorities
- Understanding of IBM i object-level security and library security principles
- Experience with Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) access processes
- Familiarity with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Least Privilege, and Segregation of Duties (SoD)
- Experience using ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow
- Desirable knowledge of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms like SailPoint
- Capability to interpret and implement security policies and standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Competence to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume operational setting
- Strong stakeholder management and customer service focus
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
- 3-5 years of experience in IBM i iSeries/AS400 security administration, IAM, or access provisioning
- ITIL Foundation certification is preferred
- IBM i security training or certifications are advantageous
- Experience in supporting IBM i environments within large enterprise organizations
- Experience with audit and regulatory compliance requirements
- Exposure to privileged access management and identity governance solutions
- Experience with automation or scripting to enhance provisioning processes
