Ab Initio App Support

Job Overview:

• We are on the lookout for a skilled Ab Initio Application Support Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience in both Ab Initio Development and Production Support.
• The successful candidate will possess a robust background in ETL development, job monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and performance enhancement within a production setting.

Core Responsibilities:

• Design, enhance, and sustain ETL workflows utilizing Ab Initio.
• Deliver L2 and L3 production support for critical data integration applications.
• Oversee daily batch job executions to ensure completion within established SLA timelines.
• Investigate application failures, troubleshoot problems, and provide prompt resolutions.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents and implement preventative strategies.
• Collaborate with business users, developers, and infrastructure teams to address production challenges.
• Assist with application releases, deployments, and code migrations across various environments.
• Create shell scripts and automation solutions to boost operational efficiency.
• Enhance ETL job performance and scalability.
• Participate in on-call support and weekend deployment tasks as necessary.
• Maintain comprehensive support documentation, including SOPs and knowledge repositories.

Technical Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Ab Initio Development and Application Support.
• Proficient hands-on experience with:
• Ab Initio GDE (Graphical Development Environment).
• Co Operating System.
• EME (Enterprise Meta Environment).
• Conduct IT.
• Strong SQL and database skills, including Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, etc.
• Experience with Unix/Linux commands and Shell Scripting.
• Understanding of ETL, Data Warehousing, and Data Migration concepts.
• Experience in incident management, problem management, and change management processes.
• Familiarity with job scheduling tools such as Control M, Autosys, or similar.
• Ability to analyze logs and resolve production issues efficiently.
