Workday HCM: Learning Consultant

Job Summary

The Technology Architect will architect, design, and optimize Workday HCM solutions for a global organization operating in a hybrid work model. This position focuses on building scalable architectures that strengthen workforce management and protect data integrity. The role translates complex business requirements into reliable Workday configurations and integrations, delivering measurable impact across online processes and finance and accounting operations. It also ensures the long-term reliability and sustainability of the Workday ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable Workday HCM architectures that adhere to enterprise standards and enable long term growth of human capital management capabilities across the organization
• Create detailed solution designs for the core Workday HCM Learning module to ensure accurate data flow efficient business processes and consistent configuration practices
• Coordinate end to end Workday HCM implementations and enhancements by partnering with functional consultants and technical teams to deliver high quality outcomes
• Improve existing Workday HCM configurations by reviewing usage patterns and recommending changes that enhance usability performance and data quality
• Produce comprehensive technical design documents and configuration guidelines for Workday HCM to provide clear direction to implementation and support teams
• Assess integration requirements and architect Workday interfaces with internal systems to maintain dependable data exchange for workforce online operations and finance and accounting processes
• Deliver guidance on Workday security configuration to support compliance protect sensitive employee information and enable appropriate access for global user communities
• Review Workday features and releases to develop adoption strategies that enhance business capabilities while reducing disruption to ongoing operations
• Collaborate with stakeholders to convert complex workforce online and finance and accounting requirements into Workday technical solutions that provide measurable business value
• Assist testing cycles by defining technical test scenarios reviewing outcomes and driving resolution of defects tied to Workday HCM architecture and integrations
• Mentor implementation and support teams on Workday HCM best practices to maintain consistent solution quality and sustainable application health
• Lead incident analysis for Workday HCM issues by determining root causes and defining corrective actions that prevent recurrence and improve system stability
• Document technical standards and architectural patterns for Workday HCM to ensure reuse of proven design approaches across multiple initiatives

Qualifications

• Provide extensive hands on experience in Workday HCM configuration and solution design for at least eight years within complex enterprise environments
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of Workday HCM business processes including workforce administration absence management performance and compensation to build effective solutions
• Use experience with online transactional environments to design Workday architectures that support digital employee interactions and self service functionality
• Apply experience with finance and accounting domains to align Workday HCM data structures with downstream financial reporting and compliance requirements
• Show proficiency in requirements analysis and documentation to capture business needs and translate them into clear Workday HCM technical specifications
• Demonstrate strong skills in data mapping and interface design to support integrations between Workday HCM and internal applications while maintaining data consistency
• Use strong problem solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex Workday issues and propose practical architectural improvements
• Apply effective communication and collaboration skills in a hybrid work model to coordinate with stakeholders during design workshops reviews and solution walkthroughs
• Bring experience delivering Workday using structured implementation methodologies including testing deployment and post go live stabilization activities
• Maintain awareness of the Workday HCM roadmap and human capital technology industry trends to propose innovations that support organizational and societal impact
